Miss Makayla turned 9 months old last week!
We call her wild monkey or crazy little monkey
at home now, because unless she is sleeping
she is on the move...crawling, pulling up to stand,
babbling, laughing, playing.
she realized I was taking her picture, coming to get the camera
We visited the doctor today for her
9 month well check.
Makayla weighed in at 17 lbs 7 oz
and is 26.5 inches long.
25% in weight
and 15-20% in height
We've all been battling with colds,
congestion, runny noses,
sinus infections, and coughs
for a while now so I'm
really hoping the weather will stay
warm soon and that will help get us all well!
So, as of now, the little miss
can crawl around pretty quickly.
If you walk away for a second
she will just crawl right after you.
She is talking up a storm,
her favorite phrase being "da da da da."
She can pull up on anything in about
2 seconds flat and stand there.
Here she is playing at her activity center...
complete with laptop, telephone, book and piano.
That thing has more equipment than I do at work!
When she is standing she will pull one hand away and turn
to look at something. Once I even saw her take both hands
away and balance for 1 little second, with a strange look
on her face. They she put both hands back before she toppled.
While standing, she will also lean over and try to pick
up toys or anything of interest on the floor. No fear!
No photo of it, at the moment,
but her new "trick" this past week
has been waving. Sometimes she just sticks
her hand up in the air when she sees you
and other times she will wave her fingers.
It is pretty cute...
As soon as we walk into her classroom,
in the mornings, she will wave at her teacher
and smile. When I leave her class
I will stand at the door and wave to her
through the glass and she will smile and wave back.
Precious!
There's that happy smile now,
as she was crawling into my lap
to try and snag the camera!
Oh, she loves standing up in her crib now, too.
When she wakes up from sleeping
(or doesn't want to nap)
you know it because
she will stand up in her crib and call out to be picked up.
No sleepy time mommy!
Aren't I just the cutest?

Yay for an update! I've missed them :)
