Speaking of starting solids...
I've been making Makayla's purees so far.
I've been thinking about it and bought a book
about starting your child on solids.
We had some extra bananas one night,
and it seemed pretty
easy so thought I'd give it a go.
Cut them up, mash, puree in the blender
with a little water to thin,
pour into ice cube trays, cover,
freeze, bag and label with type of food,
date made and expiration date.
I made two batches of banana,
one of sweet potato and one of avocado,
'cause that is what my book said are good
"first foods" for baby.
Success!
Just take out a cube or
two as needed...
thaw in fridge or microwave
and serve.
I'm thinking I will
continue to dabble in this
until she goes onto finger foods.
It's definitely not difficult
and kind of fun...
that coming from a girl that doesn't like to cook!
